Daniel Brown Promoted to Vice President, Chief Underwriter

OWINGS MILLS, Md.—The Baltimore Life Insurance Co. announced the promotion of Daniel Brown to Vice President, Chief Underwriter. Dan joined the company in 2020, and in his new role, he will also lead Baltimore Life’s Claims Department.

“Dan has utilized his extensive and varied underwriting expertise to modernize our mortality programs and new business intake processes. He is an impressive leader, and we look forward to the impact he will have as an officer of the company,” said President and CEO David Ficca.

Brown earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Florida State University and has worked in the life insurance industry for 13 years. In addition, he has earned several industry designations which include the Fellow, Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU), and the Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).
