Baltimore Life Announces Executive Promotions

Helena Vendrzyk Gordon to Senior Vice President; David Krupa to Vice President

OWINGS MILLS, Md, February 27, 2019—The Baltimore Life Insurance Co. announced the promotions of Helena Vendrzyk Gordon to senior vice president, chief information and services officer; and David Krupa to vice president of the Insurance Services department.

Helena Gordon has strong project expertise and knowledge of our service goals and priorities, which will be tremendous assets in her new role. Dave Krupa transferred to the corporate office from the field and has done a remarkable job in improving our service standards while cultivating stronger relations with our field staff and internal business partners.”

Gordon joined Baltimore Life in 2017 as vice president of Information Services. In her new role, she will oversee the company’s Insurance Services department while continuing to manage building operations and the Information Services department. Prior to joining Baltimore Life, she garnered over two decades of industry experience working in property and casualty, and health insurance companies. In addition, she served as a technology consultant for five years in the life insurance industry. Gordon has earned her MBA, project management professional (PMP) certification and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Chief Information Officer (CIO) forum.

Krupa started his Baltimore Life career in 1996 as an agent before progressing to an assistant manager then to a district manager role. Subsequently, he led agent development and training from 2008 through 2012 before becoming the leader of the Career Agency Sales Group Western Region.

Krupa earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) from American College, and LIMRA Leadership Institute Fellow (LLIF) from Wharton University of Pennsylvania. In Krupa’s new role, he will oversee five service departments under Insurance Services, and the INSpeed® NOW call center.
