Michael D. Mangan Elected to Baltimore Life Board
Former Black & Decker Senior Vice President is newest member of BLI’s Board of Directors

BALTIMORE, MD, AUGUST 23, 2013—Michael D. Mangan has been elected to The Baltimore Life Companies’ Board of Directors.
Mr. Mangan joined Black & Decker in 1999, serving as Vice President of Investor Relations, Chief Financial Officer, and President of the company’s Worldwide Power Tools and Accessories (WPTA) group. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Ryland Group, Inc. He also serves as a Director of McCormick & Co. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Kettering University and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Mr. Mangan is replacing board member John F. Gaburick, who is retiring from the board after 15 years of service.
