In its 16th year, Baltimore Life’s Community Grants Program has helped many organizations in communities where our employees live and work, including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Ohio, New Jersey, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
To be eligible for a $500 grant, your organization must meet IRS eligibility requirements under IRC Section 501(c)(3)1. Acceptable organizations also include libraries, senior centers, homeless shelters, or other organizations under the direction of governmental agencies. Projects and programs that help distressed families, enhance public safety and the community, and combat community deterioration receive special consideration. Religious organizations are not eligible, except when a religious organization houses a nondenominational charity such as a soup kitchen or homeless shelter.
