
Holthaus Elected Chairman of Baltimore Life Board of Directors

BALTIMORE, MD, NOVEMBER 9, 2011—Gerard E. Holthaus has been elected as Baltimore Life’s new Board Chairman Mr. Holthaus has been a member of Baltimore Life’s Board of Directors since 1998. He is also the Chairman of Algeco Scotsman, Inc., a leading global provider of modular space solutions and rental services. With this announcement, L. John Pearson retires from the board and his position as Chairman. Mr. Pearson formerly was President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer with Baltimore Life starting in 1995. John A. MacColl has been elected as a Director to the Baltimore Life Board. Mr. MacColl is an Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer with FTI Consulting in Baltimore. He has also been a general counsel for three large public companies, including FTI Consulting. Christian H. Poindexter retires from his position as Director on the Board that he has held since 1998.
