Ficca is New President of Baltimore Life

OWINGS MILLS, MD, MAY 6, 2009—The Baltimore Life Companies’ Board of Directors announced today that David K. Ficca has been elected as Baltimore Life’s new President.

L. John Pearson, formerly President, Chairman and C.E.O., will remain active in his role as Chairman and C.E.O.

Mr. Ficca joined Baltimore Life in 2002 as the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He brought more than 17 years of public accounting experience to his position with Baltimore Life, with 13 of those years dedicated to the insurance industry. In his new role, he becomes the 11th President of the country’s 36th oldest life insurance company.

Mr. Ficca and his wife Meredith reside in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with their four sons DJ, Matthew, Michael and Christian.
