Baltimore Life Introduces Intern Program

OWINGS MILLS, MD, DECEMBER 12, 2005—Damian A. Salvi, Vice President, Team Advantage of The Baltimore Life Insurance Company has announced the introduction of a new intern program for college students in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

In the program, the students will have the opportunity to be mentored by either an agent or member of agency management. The intern will learn all aspects of the life insurance industry from the agency perspective: agent licensing; prospecting; sales; and customer service. In addition to learning the details of the life insurance sales and service process, the intern will learn how to build strong business relationships, how to network within the community, and how to prepare a professional presentation.

“We believe this program will be beneficial to both the intern and Baltimore Life,” said Salvi. “The intern will gain valuable insight into a potential career in the life insurance industry and Baltimore Life will develop a pool of potential agents.
