Baltimore Life Names Alexander Richter as Vice President, Chief Actuary

OWINGS MILLS, Md.— The Baltimore Life Insurance Company announces the appointment of Alexander Richter as Vice President, Chief Actuary. In his role, Alex’s primary focus will be overseeing actuarial pricing and valuation functions, including product and program research and implementation, ensuring Baltimore Life continues to develop important capabilities within the Actuarial Department. Richter will also serve on the Company’s Executive Operating Committee.

“I’m excited for Alex to join us. His background and expertise in actuarial automation and reinsurance will be instrumental for Baltimore Life’s next stage of growth. His experience in principle-based reserving, reinsurance, and managing multi-tiered teams will support our strategic priorities,” said Spencer.

Alex recently served as Vice President, Life Valuation at Primerica. Prior to Primerica, he served as the Assistant Vice President, Actuarial Management-Valuation at Lincoln Financial Group.

Alex is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He graduated magna cum laude from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics.
